Day Trips

Loch Ness, Inverness & Culloden Battlefield or Cawdor Castle

Visit three iconic Highland locations with our day trip to Loch Ness, Inverness & Culloden Battlefield or Cawdor Castle. Before reaching Inverness, you’ll stop off at Priory, Old School and Campbells of Beauly. Then once you arrive in Loch Ness, you have the option to explore the loch via Jacobite Cruises or Beastie Boat, or you can visit the Urquhart Castle Visitor Centre. 

Afterwards, you’ll visit Inverness for lunch, followed by a trip to either the historic Cawdor Castle or Culloden Battlefield Visitor Centre – the site of the last recorded Jacobite rebellion.

Outlander Tour

Visit the top attractions related to the thrilling yet romantic television series, Outlander, filmed right here in Scotland. Channel your inner Claire or Jamie Fraser for the day and see if you recognise any of the filming locations including Beauly Priory, Urquhart Castle, Inverness, Clava Cairns and Culloden Battlefield.

Speyside Distilleries 

A must take trip for whisky lovers, this day trip will take you to two of the major Speyside whisky distilleries, where you will receive a guided tour of the premises and samples of their delicious Scotch whiskies. You will also stop off at the quaint town of Grantown on Spey, as well as Johnstons of Elgin where you can treat yourself to some luxurious cashmere garments. 

Kylesku

Discover the other side of the Highlands with a guided tour to the northwest of Scotland. Visit the popular NC500 destination, Kylesku, via Loch Shin and Laxford Bridge. Enjoy an optional short coastal walk near Scourie, before having a loch side lunch at our award-winning sister hotel, Kylesku Hotel. Then take in the views as you return to Dornoch via Oykel Bridge. 

The Wild West

Journey through mesmerising, wild and rugged landscapes with our trip to the northwest of Scotland. Enjoy an adventure packed day touring Wester Ross, stopping at Strathpeffer, Ben Eighe NNR Visitor Centre, Badachro Inn for lunch, Inverewe Gardens and Corrieshalloch Gorge.

Highland Shooting Centre

An adventurous half day tour of authentic Highland experiences where you can try your hand at some traditional activities, including:

  • A clay pigeon shooting session at the Highland Shooting Centre

  • A whisky tasting session at either Balblair, Glenmorangie or Clynelish distillery 

Dornoch Firth Nature Trail

Our tours are available all year round, although subject to availability and dependent on the attractions opening times. Entry costs to distilleries, castles, gardens and other attractions, as well as additional food and drink, are not included.
